Visit to CSIR CIMAP

 Dr Manoj Semwal, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR CIMAP, and the EES collaborated to arrange a departmental visit to the Central Institute of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants, Lucknow (CSIR-CIMAP) on 12th May 2023.  Dr Manoj Semwal has expertise in the application of cutting-edge technologies in agriculture, he has made significant contributions to the field of precision agriculture. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between traditional agricultural practices and modern technological advancements by exploring the potential of machine learning, IoT and drones. During the workshop, Dr Semwal provided an overview of the fundamental concepts of machine learning and its application in precision agriculture. He explained how machine learning algorithms can analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and make accurate predictions related to crop health, pest infestation, soil moisture, and yield estimation. Participants gained insights into the role of machine learning in optimizing agricultur
